Today’s dream? A CX-9 Signature. Enough space for the kiddos and dog while still feeling like my 6, which I love. And the Signature trim level already has all the options I want, aside from remote start which can be easily added.

I think I’ve made a permanent decision on what my next car will be someday.

That interior, though.

I really do love our CX9 very comfortable on 10 hour drives, and reliable as can be.

I adored the one we drove. It didn’t feel like a big SUV. Drove like my 6. Nimble and well put together. Almost...sporty.

That’s a good dream.  I sat in one with that interior and felt like I was in a luxury car.

Good-lookin' crossovers, and that interior looks delicious.

2019 grand touring trim the only thing I dislike is the towing capacity, but that is a very me situation and not the norm.

I almost went for one but couldn’t justify the extra payments.

Window shades, can’t go without them anymore.

I’m looking at them, but I still shy away from heavy cars with FWD (had enough of it with the minivan). Plus we don’t really need two family haulers, but in terms of 3-row vehicles you could do MUCH worse. A little small inside, but the first two rows are great.

I still need to go drive one, but hard to find AWD around here. Mazda didn’t seem to make a lot of them, probably for price/efficiency reasons.

The low towing capacity does kind of suck. We plan to get a small camper sometime this year to pull behind my wife’s Highlander.

Most around here seem to be AWD, so it must be a regional thing. The Signature trim level is AWD-only, though.

I love the looks of the interior and exterior, for sure.

I was hoping to tow an enclosed trailer for the m3w but the height was just a huge wind sail and tongue weight posed a problem and I didn’t want to chance it. The CX9 is comfortable to a point where I don’t notice I've been in the car for a long time.

That explains a lot. I think Mazda — more than most manufacturers — is tailoring their inventory by region/climate.

OTOH, if I go down to VW (a comparably small/niche player in the US), about 30-40% of the lot is AWD.

In Mazda’s case, I think the lower price and stronger EPA sticker for FWD helps sell more cars here.
